Roof for the homeless

А сommunity of mutual support "Nasha Hata" has been successfully functioning already for 10 years. For that period the community has achieved great results: finished building and inner works in a two-storied house, that hosts 35 people at a time; arranged agriculture and gardening: growing of potatoes and other vegetables; the community has cows, horses, goats, hens, pigs; most of the community members took part in different study courses and now can work as specialists repairing old furniture units, making wooden things etc.; all community members took part in computer courses and gained basic skills of computer work; the community opened two social shops where it sells collected and repaired clothes and other things. The community lives and works according to strict rules and norms that provide order; community members receive the constant support of a psychologist and a priest; every year foreign volunteers visit the community and help in building works and other works. All these goods and benefits reached homeless people whom we usually try to omit to see in the street.

Good reviews about the community life in “Nasha Hata” encourage many people to turn here for support. Nowadays, unfortunately, or better to say fortunately the community building cannot host all the homeless willing to join it. That is how the need to build a new house for the community appeared. We turn to you, our constant supporters, with the request to help to purchase material for one of the most important things in the building - the roof. Building a good house on the good foundation and with the good roof, we will provide a second chance for a good life to good but vulnerable people.

This project was canceled, the amount collected is 22022,23 UAH. The funds were disposed of in accordance with the Rules, Principles, and Procedures of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace (UBB) International Charitable Fund and the decisions of the Project Donors.
