Svitlana was born together with the best friend of her life - her twin sister Tetіana. It was double joy for the Melnyk family, considering that it was already the second time mother Natalia had carried twins. Few people are lucky enough to get such joy. However, something went wrong at the last moment. After the cesarean section, Svitlana was immediately taken to the intensive care unit when her sister Tetiana safely went home to meet her family, Svitlana spent 5 days on a ventilator in convulsions. After the stabilization of the condition, the girl was finally discharged home, but the days spent in the hospital make themselves felt, and here begins a long story of struggle that will last for years.

The diagnosis with which Svitlana lives – cerebral palsy – requires long and exhausting rehabilitation. But nothing compares to Svetlana's desire to be like her sister. During her life, she steadily underwent dozens of rehabilitation courses in various cities of Ukraine, but Truskavets and the "Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic" always give the best results. Over the past year, the girl has taken their courses twice and each time she returned home with positive dynamics. But you can't stop, because this disease doesn't give you a chance to rest. At the age of 12 now, Svitlana begins to understand that she is very different from her family and that she is locked in her body with a terrible diagnosis. She already knows why she doesn't go to school like her sisters, and why she stays at home all the time when they go out with friends. However, her story is about victories. Her relatives see her efforts and try to support her in every possible way and are constantly looking for opportunities to continue treatment.

Therefore, Natalia's mother appeals to everyone who cares and asks for help, because her earnings are not enough to raise 4 children alone without a father and at the same time constantly look for opportunities for rehabilitation for Svitlana. Only together we can give Svitlana a chance!
