Dania struggles with autism. 2

Since the age of 3, Dania has been struggling with autism. Unfortunately, the boy was tested not only by the disease, but in the summer of 2022, Dania also lost his father due to Russian aggression. This loss and the beginning of the full-scale invasion had a negative impact on the child's emotional and psychological state. However, life goes on, and Danylo's single mother, Khrystyna, has to raise the child alone and provide continuous treatment. According to doctors' recommendations, there should be 4-5 comprehensive rehabilitation courses for children with autism a year to see positive changes. Unfortunately, these courses are expensive, so we opened this project to pay for one rehabilitation course for Dania at a cost of 42,250 UAH.

Dania still does not speak, but he has made some progress. "I can say that it has become much easier to be in society with Danylo, he has started to listen and follow instructions better, but this is not always the case," says Khrystyna, Danylo's mother. "Thanks to the previous courses of treatment, he started listening more and doing his exercises more diligently. He also started wearing shoes correctly, which was difficult for Danylo because he used to confuse right and left. Danya is very good at memorizing the arrangement of objects and can even reproduce it. It's been two years since we've been to the zoo, and when we went back to the Kyiv Zoo, Danya behaved completely differently: he showed interest in animals, he looked at everything calmly, didn't run away, didn't throw tantrums, and for me, this is a great progress!".

This is not the first fundraiser we have organized for the child, so we are happy to hear about positive changes. After all, autism is not a sentence. It is possible and necessary to work with this syndrome and help children in learning, development and socialization, because everyone has the right to a full and healthy life. Let's give it to Dania together!
