Daria dreams of living a full life

Darynka Khoma, one of the twins, is a cheerful and creative girl who wants to run, roller skate and ride a bike just like her sister Yarynka! But unfortunately, Daryna was diagnosed with cerebral palsy in her early childhood, which was a heavy blow to the whole family. But the parents pulled themselves together and began to fight for their daughter's health. They were inspired by the words of a doctor from OKHMATDYT: "You just don't give up and work with your child". That's why all these years mom and dad have been making every effort to help Daryna overcome this disease!

The 45-year-old mother's long-awaited children were born prematurely – at 28 weeks of pregnancy, weighing 1200 grams each. For 2 months, doctors fought for the sisters' lives in the intensive care unit of the children's regional hospital. And at the age of 3, Darya was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and her life was completely reorganized to overcome the disease and improve the child's physical condition. The girl's treatment includes swimming, hippotherapy, rehabilitation every six months at the Kozyavkin Clinic and physical therapy at home using their methodology. All these years of persistent treatment have significantly improved the child's general condition and her walking.

Daryna is an intelligent and gifted child: she does well at school and has a talent for the sciences; she studies piano and vocals at a music school and has won competitions. The girl has many friends who love and respect her. She dreams of running and walking like other children.

The girls' parents are low-income people: their mother is a piano teacher at a music college, and their father is an engineer, but of retirement age. Therefore, they are forced to seek help from caring people so that the child can undergo rehabilitation courses and grow up healthy.
