This is only a small part of the gratitude stream of parents whose children were rescued at the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery. About 4,000 children with congenital anomalies of the cardiovascular system are born in Ukraine annually, 30-40% of them are in critical condition from the first days and months of life. Without surgery, 42% of patients die in childhood (under 18 years old). More than 3,000 surgical interventions are performed at the Center annually. Every day, from all regions of Ukraine, sick children in need of emergency medical care come to the Center. And children receive this help at the highest level.

Now the Cardiocenter is essentially lacking equipment that can diagnose complications not only from the side of the heart, but also from other organs. Using the 4-9 MHz Microconvex sensor for the Orcheo Lite XS ultrasound system, the examination can be carried out at any time of the day, right at the patient’s bedside, while the method is harmless, since there is no ionizing radiation. This sensor allows to get the highest quality image of all the internal organs and head of the child, which helps to detect the problem at an early stage.
