Help for little Nazar from Uman
When Nazar was 2 months old, his pediatrician noticed a heart murmur. The family was referred for an ultrasound in the city of Uman. However, no abnormalities were found at that time. The parents were reassured that everything was normal and there was no cause for concern.
But his mother couldn't help noticing that Nazar tired very quickly, was less active than other children his age, and often sweated. A repeat examination a year later again found no defects. The family then decided to contact the Amosov Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. There, cardiologists immediately detected an aneurysm of the membranous part of the interventricular septum, which was already affecting the child's general condition.
The only chance to save the little heart was surgery.
The family could not afford to buy the occluder, which cost 140,598 UAH. The family has two small children, and the mother is on maternity leave.
On October 28, 2025, Nazar Gladyshevsky underwent endovascular surgery to close a congenital heart defect.
We sincerely thank everyone who supported Svitlana Panaiotidi's fundraiser and gave Nazar a chance for the future.
