News January 2026
The New Year holidays and vacations are behind us, and Melanka really missed school, her teachers, and her lessons. She loves learning!
Melania also works with a rehabilitation specialist four times a week, stands in a standing frame every day, and is already taking her first steps with support. Ahead of her lies preparation for another operation and a visit to the orthopaedist.
Melania dreams of walking and playing like all children. But her path to this dream is not easy: she has already undergone eight difficult orthopaedic operations. The last one was on 12 September, when her foot was literally taken apart bone by bone and metal structures were installed.
A similar operation is planned for her right leg in March. And then the 10th operation: removal of old structures from her knees and left hip. All procedures will be performed at the Pirogov Dnipro Medical and Surgical Centre.
Melania needs our support again. We need to raise money to pay for two operations, anaesthesia, examinations, hospitalisation, metal structures and instruments for implant removal.
Let's help Melania get back on her feet!
