News April 2026
Melanka’s leg cast and stitches were recently removed, so things are now much easier and the pain isn’t as bad. The doctor has allowed her to stand in the standing frame for a little while, which is wonderful news!
From 1 May, sessions with the physiotherapist will begin – an important stage in her ongoing recovery. The little girl is also continuing her lessons with her teachers so as not to waste any time.
When the weather is warm, she goes out for walks in her pushchair with her mum or grandmother – fresh air always works wonders. At home, she keeps quite busy: reading, drawing, and playing with a magnetic construction set.
Everything is progressing step by step, slowly but surely, with faith in a better future.
The family sincerely thanks you for your support!
The operation to remove the metal structures is scheduled for 26 June 2026.
At present, the full amount required for the tenth operation has been raised on two fundraising platforms: the Ukrainian Charity Exchange and the Pomagayem Charitable Foundation.
We have therefore approached our long-standing partners at the Ukrainian Charity Exchange to request that the fundraising campaign be closed, the project amount on the UCE be reduced to the actual amount raised, and the funds be transferred to our bank account to cover Melania’s treatment costs.
