Premature babies are born when their bodies are not yet ready to maintain their own body temperature. Even a few degrees of heat loss can be critical for them.
That is why special heated mattresses have been donated to the post-intensive care unit for newborns at the Odessa Regional Clinical Hospital. They help maintain a stable body temperature for infants and allow them to focus their energy on growth and recovery rather than fighting the cold.
In addition to warmth, constant monitoring of breathing and blood oxygen levels is vital for such babies. To do this, the department needs Rad-97 pulse oximeters (Masimo, USA) — equipment that allows doctors to respond quickly to any changes in a child's condition and save lives in critical situations.
We thank the benefactors of the dobro.ua platform for their trust and support.
Special thanks to MiniMi, a young Ukrainian brand of skincare cosmetics for children and teenagers, for their significant contribution to the project and care for the little ones.
