Dima dreams to hear relatives’ voices. Help him!

Dima is 13 and all these years he lives in an almost soundless world. He doesn't know how it could be otherwise as he is deaf from his birth. But it isn't the only trouble that boy faced in his life. His mom was killed by cancer two years ago and since then Dima and his two sisters are being under their grandmother's guardianship. Her heart is breaking apart as she sees that her grandson doesn't hear and almost doesn't speak.

"My cherished dream, – says grandmother, – is that Dima learns to speak, to hear as one day he says: "Hello, granny! I'm home" and tells me how it goes at school, how are his friends or anything else!.."

Dima studies at specialized boarding school, goes in for wrestling and has sports awards. He is kind-hearted boy. Dima helps his grandmother to take over farming and gardening. He seeks to be friends with his peers, but they feel themselves boring with Dima as they can't nor listen music, nor give to gossip about girls. So all that left to Dima is to run around the village with kiddies.

Deaf-aid can give boy much more opportunities for evolution, studying and self-realization. With deaf-aid he can hear at once, but to "set" the sounds and learn to speak correctly he will need speech therapist's additional help.

Dima's deaf degree is very high so he needs very powerful deaf-aid. It is very expensive and grandmother's pension and social payments for children barely cover vital family needs. That is why Dima's grandmother asks for help. She says: "As far as I'm alive I have to do all my best to make Dima independent and confident in adult life. That's what his mother, that now watches her children from Heaven, wanted when she was alive".

At the dobro.ua we intend to gain 50% of deaf-aid cost. CO "Nechytailo family foundation" will provide the remaining 50% from its own source.
