Children are hungry during COVID-19

The pandemic of the COVID-19 and quarantine has become a real challenge for many populations. This is especially a difficult test for socially vulnerable families. Today, large and single-parent families are experiencing a difficult situation; parents raising children with disabilities or with serious illnesses, low-income families and families who were forced to leave their homes in the occupied territories.

Now there is a sharp increase in families who cannot independently solve their problems and need the help of specialists. There are some cases of parents losing their jobs and constant income, which leads to an inability to provide for the needs of the child. Often in such families there is simply not enough money to buy food, not to mention everything else. Now, the efforts of the Khmelnitsky Regional Charitable Fund "Caritas" are aimed at supporting families in need during quarantine and providing wards with everything necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and, first of all , to provide targeted contactless assistance - providing them with food.

We intend to purchase food for a month (flour, soups and instant cereals, pasta, cereals, sugar, butter, sweets (cookies/ chocolate/ condensed milk), tea and coffee, baby food, canned food, drinking water) for 48 families crisis, which are the wards of our fund.

We invite everyone to join the great process of virtue and not stand aside from the problems of those who really need help! Together with you, we will be able to provide support for children and their parents who are in a difficult life situation and are actively looking for a way out of it.
