Profession training for children during the war

The war goes on, but children want to pick their future career. Their future depends on this important decision. Sooner or later, every schooler starts thinking about what profession to choose and what university should they go to. This decision will allow children to realize themselves and lead a fulfilling life. Now, experiencing war anxieties, children hesitate even more.

Some children chose their speciality with the help from their parents, but those who have lost their relatives and are left alone have a problem in making this decision. Such children need a circle of like-minded people, caring atmosphere and an opportunity to try a new profession: a tailor.

To help to try this profession, we introduce children to the basics of sewing in a friendly atmosphere and help them to become independent and responsible. Also, this practical skill may be useful in everyday life. To do this, within the framework of the project "Profession training for children during the war", we plan to conduct theoretical and practical sewing classes for children in a group of up to 10 people – these are children from single-parent or large families in Kyiv, children of IDPs and other categories. Classes will be held in our educational sewing workshop in Kyiv twice a week, they will be conducted by a teacher of our organization, who has experience as a teacher and a seamstress.

Today, we need your financial help to support our project. On dobro.ua, we collect funds for the salaries of seamstresses, consumables for classes, and utilities. It will give children an opportunity to outlive the war, make a step forward to a bright future, have a professional training and make handmade products.
