Children dream of learning professions

Sewing for children is an opportunity to learn how to create beautiful and practical crafts with their own hands. Children can develop fine motor skills, imagination, spatial thinking, neatness and artistic taste. It contributes to the formation of the child's personality. Sewing can be an interesting hobby for children and teens, as well as preparation for choosing a profession in the future for some. On the other hand, such creative activities soothe, relieve stress and help to distract from the terrible events that, unfortunately, we are now experiencing.

A seamstress-teacher twice a week conducts theoretical and practical classes in an educational sewing workshop in our Center in Kyiv. Children from large or single-parent families, IDP children, orphans and children who lost their parents before or during the war and are under guardianship are involved in a group of up to 10 people. This is a chance for them to master the profession of a seamstress and learn how to sew crafts with their own hands. Also, during classes they find friends, like-minded people, discover creative abilities, form aesthetic ideas, creativity, responsibility and independence.
