Adolescence is a time of self-discovery, of first experiences with adult decisions, and in wartime, it is a time of tremendous daily anxiety. Many teenagers today withdraw into themselves, feeling lonely and confused. They find it difficult to communicate, trust, and build relationships. Reality seems particularly difficult and frightening to them against the backdrop of the current war. The future seems broken, and choosing a profession is sometimes only a dream. That is why we increasingly see young people immersing themselves in the virtual world of gadgets, where it is easier to find friends and start communicating.
In this difficult period, our teenagers so desperately need places of stability and warmth. They can find such a place among their peers in our Foundation. It is in the sewing workshop, twice a week, under the guidance of an experienced seamstress-teacher, that children learn the profession of seamstress, communicate, and make friends. Fabrics, threads, and creative ideas become their helpers. Each stitch and each finished item gives them a sense of professional growth, achievement, and confidence in their abilities. The children learn the basics of sewing, which they can use in everyday life (to mend clothes or sew simple items) or take the first step toward becoming a seamstress, designer, or fashion designer. Understanding "what I want to do" begins with such activities! Creating something with your own hands from a piece of fabric is a miracle that develops creativity, patience, perseverance, and gives incredible feelings.
We have created a warm space where teenagers can communicate, support each other, share ideas, and simply have a good time with their peers.
Your financial support for our project will help children take their first step in choosing a profession. Thanks to you, we will be able to pay for the seamstress's work, consumables for classes, and utilities. Let's work together to create a space for our teenagers where they can believe in themselves, find friends, and look to the future without fear!
