Children's hope: help to Children's City Hospital No. 3. Odesa 2
In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals. Despite the war, the program continues to operate and assist Ukrainian hospitals with the necessary medical equipment.
As part of the Cardiology project, in June 2022, the Diagnostic Department of the Communal Non-Profit Enterprise "Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3" of the Odesa City Council will receive assistance.
With the collected funds, a PVT 712-BT sensor will be purchased for the hospital for the existing Toshiba Aplio 300 ultrasound machine. Previously, the project had already purchased a PST 50 BT sensor, which is successfully functioning in the hospital. This sensor will allow conducting in-depth studies of organs and systems in children with heart diseases, especially in those with possible pathophysiological changes in the brain against the background of cardiovascular diseases.
Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3 carries out round-the-clock hospitalization of children with various diseases and provides assistance to children of the city of Odessa, orphanages, boarding schools, children's shelters, children left without care, children with HIV, stray children.
About 5,000,000 children seek help from the medical institution every year, of which 50 are currently internally displaced children due to the war in Ukraine. Every year, about 1,430 children with cardiorheumatic pathology are examined and treated at the institution.
