Children's hope: help of the Dnepropetrovsk RCCH - 2

In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals. In the framework of the project in the direction of Oncology in July 2019, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital will receive assistance.

Dnipropetrovsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital is a center for providing specialized medical care to children from Dnipropetrovsk region, patients with oncology and oncohematology and has a department of hematology and a department of reconstructive surgery with beds for cancer patients.

About 200 children with malignancies of different locations are treated every year in the hospital. The number of them is increasing every year, which requires improvement of the hospital's logistical base.

Modern treatment of oncological pathology in children is based on high-dose intensive polychemotherapy, which is carried out round-the-clock administration of drugs on several lines at the same time. It is important to ensure a certain rate of administration, which is impossible without the use of infusomats and syringe dispensers.

The funds raised will be used to repair 8 defective BBraun infusomats in the Hematology Department, as well as to purchase a new Infusomat® Compact Plus pump volumetric infusion and consumables to it: Cyto-Set Infusomat Plus infusion mixing and delivery systems (20 cytostatics) , systems infusion for mixing and introduction of cyto-statics Cyto-Set® Mix (20 pieces), set for intravenous infusomat® plus Line PVC 240/150 cm (100 pieces).

The repaired and purchased equipment will provide an opportunity for treatment of cancer patients at a better level.
