In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals. Despite the war, the program continues to operate and assist Ukrainian hospitals with the necessary medical equipment.

As part of the project in the field of oncology, in October 2022, the KP "Regional Medical Center of Family Health" of DOR (formerly Dnipropetrovsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital) will receive assistance.

With the collected funds, a portable Rescue LIFE 9 Defibrillator with a synchronization function and children's electrodes was purchased for the hospital, which will allow resuscitation measures to be provided to children in case their condition worsens during operations. This equipment is necessary when performing complex surgical interventions, in particular, in children with oncological diseases. Operations in this group of patients are very difficult and dangerous, especially in patients with concomitant pathology.

The Regional Family Health Medical Center provides highly specialized medical care in accordance with the requirements for Level III hospitals providing medical care. Currently, the capacity of the hospital is 645 beds. Today, the hospital is the only one that can fully provide multidisciplinary care to children in the southeastern region. Each year, more than 1,400 children with cancer receive special treatment at the hospital. About 85 of them are with primary forms.
