In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals. Despite the war, the program continues to operate and help Ukrainian hospitals with the necessary medical equipment.

As part of the project in the direction of cardiology, in August 2022, the department of X-ray endovascular methods of treatment of congenital and acquired heart defects of the State institution "M.M. Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" will receive assistance.

On the basis of the department, more than five hundred surgical endovascular and hybrid interventions are performed annually for children with structural heart pathology. With the collected funds, the CONMED System 5000 Electrosurgical Generator (ESU) will be purchased for the department for the possibility of performing surgical interventions on children. This equipment will make it possible to provide treatment at a higher quality level and introduce the latest treatment technologies for patients with congenital heart disease.

National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after M.M. Amosova is one of the main institutions in Ukraine in the treatment of congenital heart defects in adults and children. Tens of thousands of patients from all over Ukraine are examined annually at the Institute, and more than 5,500 heart operations are performed, the level of quality and results of which meet the best international standards.
