In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals.

In the framework of the project in the field of Oncology in February 2020 will receive assistance from the State Institution "Institute of Neurosurgery. Acad. A.P. Romodanov of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine ". On the basis of the institute treatment is provided to the most difficult children with tumors of the nervous system from all over Ukraine.

The hospital has a Department of Intensive Care and Anesthesiology for Children, which constantly provides medical care to sick children, who often have a terrible cancer diagnosis. The department performs long-term neurosurgical operations in children, as well as postoperative treatment, recovery and prevention of cancer. The postoperative period in children can last up to several months with a permanent stay in bed.

In 2020, 336 patients were treated in the department, including 188 patients with complex neurosurgical (oncological) pathology.

The funds raised will be used to purchase 3 Nexo Comfort multifunctional medical beds, which will help children with complex neurosurgical pathologies to more easily endure postoperative periods and have more comfortable conditions during their stay in the intensive care unit and in the fight against cancer.
