Children's Hope: Help to Kharkiv ODKL 1
In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals. Despite the war, the program continues to operate and help Ukrainian hospitals with the necessary medical equipment.
As part of the project in the direction of oncology, in March 2023, the Children's Oncology Department of the Communal Non-Profit Enterprise of the Kharkiv Regional Council "Regional Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1" will receive assistance. Despite the constant shelling of the city, doctors continue to provide the necessary medical assistance to the children of Kharkiv and neighboring regions.
The collected funds will be used to purchase a HR40-IIA2 laminar biological safety hood for the preparation of chemotherapy solutions for small patients and the Infusomat Compact Plus automatic infusion system for safe treatment.
About 600 patients with solid tumors and oncohematological diseases are admitted to the department annually. They receive multi-day (from 2 to 7 days) round-the-clock intravenous chemotherapy courses. More than 60 courses of chemotherapy are conducted per year. Currently, 7 children who require constant chemotherapy are receiving permanent treatment in the department.
