Children's Hope: Help to Lviv Okhmatdyt 3

In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals. Despite the war, the program continues to operate and help Ukrainian hospitals with the necessary medical equipment.

As part of the project in the direction of cardiology, in September 2022, the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council "Lviv Regional Children's Clinical Hospital "OKHMATDIT" will receive assistance.

LODCL "OHMATDYT" began its activity in March 1950 and is the oldest children's hospital in western Ukraine. Throughout its existence, the hospital has been a leading children's medical institution in the region. The main task of the team is to provide highly qualified specialized and emergency medical care to the children of the Lviv region.

The hospital has 310 beds and 185 doctors. Every year, about 4,500 children undergo outpatient and inpatient treatment at the institution, about 300 of them have congenital heart defects, and about 70 of them are diagnosed with critical defects that require urgent medical care. Regional pediatric cardiologist O.B. Kurylyak works at the hospital, providing qualified medical assistance to children from the entire Lviv region with cardiac pathology.

The collected funds will be used to purchase a 6S-RS sector sensor and a 3Sс-RS sector sensor for the existing ultrasound device. This equipment will make it possible to diagnose cardiac diseases in children at a higher quality level.
