In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals.

In the framework of the project in the direction of Cardiology in June 11, 2019, the Department of Birth Defects of the heart of the State Institution " Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" received assistance.


Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery is one of the main institutions in Ukraine for the treatment of congenital heart defects in adults and children. Every year, the Institute is screened by tens of thousands of patients from all over Ukraine and performed more than 5,500 operations in the heart, the quality level and the results of which meet the best world standards. In 2018, 686 operations were carried out at the Department of Congenital Heart Disease.

In order to provide cardiac surgery for children with congenital heart defects, mechanical sterners, ultrasonic sinks, which allow for pre-sterilization cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of medical devices, was purchased on the collected funds, as well as existing monitors YUTAS YUM-300 with ECG cords and pulse oximeter cords are completed. This equipment will allow uninterrupted and more effective cardiac surgery in children.
