In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals.

In the framework of the project in the direction of Oncology in December, 13 2019, the Odessa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital received assistance. In the structure of "Odessa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital" there is a department of hematology where children with malignant neoplasms of various organs and systems are inpatient treatment. Annually for the first time detected patients there are up to 80 children. During the year there are about 500 children on the treatment.

Associated and integral with the Hematology Department is the Blood Transfusion Unit, where donor engagement and blood donation activities are conducted. On average, 176 doses of erythrocytes, 38 doses of plasma, 260 doses of platelet concentrate and 14 doses of washed erythrocytes are required annually to treat children with cancer. All blood components must be stored under the correct conditions in order to remain of good quality and usable.

The collected funds was replaced by the purchase of a Haier DW Biomedical Freezer for Plasma Blood - 40L262 and a Refrigerator for the EKN 200 Blood Bank, total volume of 260 l / 50 haemacomas. This equipment makes it possible to collect blood and store it at a high-tech level, which in turn provides the opportunity to provide a better level of medical care to young Ukrainians suffering from cancer.
