Children's Hope: Help to Lviv Regional Council. Cardio 2
In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals.
In the framework of the Cardiology project in November 2021 the pediatric department and the office of functional diagnostics of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council "Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center" will receive assistance.
The center provides assistance to children with various complex diseases, which in almost all cases are accompanied by changes in the cardiovascular system and require diagnosis and instrumental monitoring of the child's condition. On average, about 500 cardiologist consultations are conducted in the clinic's departments each year, caused by cardiotoxic treatment or the course of the underlying disease. Such cases require close monitoring of vital signs. Last year, the functional diagnostics office performed 5,800 ECGs, in 2020 - more than 4,600 ECGs.
To meet the working conditions and needs of patients with complex cardiovascular pathology, the funds raised will be used to purchase two Midas 6/12 I Electrocardiographs for the functional diagnostics room, as well as two Contec G3D Patient Monitors with baby cuffs and eight VP1 Infusion Dispensers to be transferred to Pediatric Department.
This equipment will allow to diagnose and treat children with cardiac diseases at a better level. All other projects and news "Children's Hope" can be found here.
