Children's hope: help ZUSDMTs. Onko 7
In November 2018, Kyivstar, together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, launched the project "Children's Hope" to help children with heart and cancer diseases in Ukrainian hospitals. Despite the war, the program continues to operate and assist Ukrainian hospitals with the necessary medical equipment.
As part of the project in the direction of oncology, in November 2022, the Children's Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Clinic of the "Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center" will receive assistance.
With the funds collected within the program, a PVM-4763 patient bedside monitor with cuffs and a 315-letter vertical refrigerator for storing medicines in the department will be purchased. This equipment will be used in transplant boxes for the needs of patients for pre- and post-transplantation treatment.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine, the hospital has hospitalized, stabilized and evacuated 1,100 patients with oncological pathology at various stages of treatment, of which 46 patients remain in hospital treatment today.
ZUSDMC started implementation of a large-scale project in the field of pediatric oncology and transplantation - bone marrow transplantation for children. The center became the most powerful of the regional centers of Ukraine for children's oncology and hematology according to the statistical data of previous years.
