The trouble came to the Sukennykovyh’s family in March of the last year in the appearance of cancer when little Sasha was diagnosed with "neuroblastoma" - one of the most aggressive and unpredictable malignancies. He was not yet four years old when he has already experienced the pain and burdens of treatment of this disease. Now the tumor arose again - relapse! Therapy and surgery in Germany can help little Sasha.

Sacha Sukennykov was born on October 2, 2010 - the birthday of his grandfather. Born into a family where all the rules of carrying a healthy baby were fully obeyed in details. The baby was born perfectly healthy. At 3 months Sasha got into children's infectious disease clinic. They did an ultrasound and noticed a suspicious tiny speck on the adrenal glands. The chorus of endocrinologists, whom Shasha’s parents consulted, was assuring that if to a year the formation was not increasing, everything would be okay.

And then in early March 2013 Sasha got a fever usual for viral infections brought from kindergarten. They treated the flu but the temperature was not dropping. The family decided to take the blood test in a commercial lab. The result tossed them in a cold sweat: ESR - 40, hemoglobin - 80! Ultrasound showed a huge tumor in his stomach! Diagnosis pledged abruptly - cancer, neuroblastoma adrenal third stage of retroperitoneal metastases in lymph nodes ...
Then began treatment protocols, "chemistry" - 4 blocks, surgery, "chemistry" - 5 blocks. 7 months on a hospital bed. Mom and dad explained the kid that they should get rid of the evil magic gingerbread living in his tummy.

And then they managed to drive the evil gingerbread man off. And Sasha bald as Rosenbaum returned home. In a couple of months his hair regrown, everybody’s mood improved, funny games with sister started.

One night Sasha felt sharp stomach ache, and before the eyes of the parents immediately flew the entire year of treatment in details. Ultrasound, ultrasound, ultrasonography, computer tomography and conclusion - the tumor was in the same spot size 6x6 cm – RELAPSE. But now it was even more complicated need of further examination of the nature of the tumor, mega-dose chemotherapy, one more surgery, bone marrow transplantation and plus antibodies treatment.
Unfortunately, most of these procedures in Ukraine are not available. Doctors from the University Clinic of Bonn (Germany) are ready to take Sasha to treatment. Costs - 120 thousand euro for the first stage. Sasha’s parents are young and very strong-spirited people. So far they paid for treatment on their own before. And now they've already collected some funds to pay a deposit to the clinic. But in order hospital is to admit Sasha 120 thousand euro are needed and that’s unrealizable for them alone.

Sasha has a good chance for recovery with advanced modern techniques used in leading foreign clinics. But we have to collect money in a short time, because time lost can be fatal. At UMF, we plan to collect 500 000 UAH to help this child and his parents.
