A good deed as a gift
This project was created as part of Vodafone Ukraine’s charity program "A Good Deed as a Gift". The mobile operator has developed a convenient mechanism that allows subscribers to easily participate in charitable activities. All it takes to help is to transfer any amount of bonus points to support children in need. Subscribers receive these bonuses in the My Vodafone app, where they can check their balance and use it for good deeds. The main goal of this initiative is to turn subscribers’ bonuses into a chance for a healthy future for young Ukrainians.
Heart disease is one of the most serious issues threatening the lives of hundreds of children every year. Congenital heart defects are particularly dangerous, as they often show no visible symptoms but can become fatal due to a simple cold or physical exertion. Fortunately, modern medicine has a solution – endovascular surgeries that allow heart defects to be corrected using a special heart implant, without chest incisions. The surgery lasts a few hours, and within days, children can go home. However, the cost of the life-saving implant (an occluder) can range from 47,000 to 134,071 UAH, which is a significant financial burden for many families.
Thanks to Vodafone Ukraine’s "A Good Deed as a Gift" program, every subscriber can contribute to saving children’s hearts and give hope for a full, healthy life.
