This project was created as part of Vodafone Ukraine's charity program "A Good Deed as a Gift".

For many children with heart disease, endovascular surgery is the only chance for a full life. Modern minimally traumatic interventions using occluders allow to eliminate the defect without open surgery. The implant is inserted through a small puncture in the thigh, which significantly reduces the risks, facilitates recovery and allows the child to return home the next day.

Unfortunately, the cost of heart implants is not covered by government funding, so help from socially responsible businesses is crucial.
The support of Vodafone Ukraine enables children to receive vital assistance in a timely manner.

The goal of the project is to raise funds for the purchase of heart implants and save the lives of 3 children with congenital heart disease.

Oshurko Eva, 24.04.2023, Rivne region. While still in the maternity hospital, doctors diagnosed Eva with a congenital heart defect, a patent ductus arteriosus. Later, during a follow-up examination, a secondary defect in the atrial septum measuring 8–9 mm was discovered. Cardiac surgeons recommended installing an occluder as soon as the girl reached two years of age. During this time, Eva was often ill, which put additional strain on her heart. The family has collected some of the funds, but they cannot afford to purchase the implant, which costs 140,598 UAH, on their own.

Milana Nazarenko, born May 5, 2020, Kharkiv region. Mila is 5 years old. She was born with trisomy 21, and in the first days of her life, doctors also detected a heart defect. At first, there was hope that the defect would close on its own, but over time, the defect only increased and an aneurysm appeared. Despite all the difficulties, the girl is growing up active and cheerful. Every day she works with a rehabilitation specialist, psychologist, speech therapist, and speech pathologist. Today, Milana urgently needs surgery to close the heart defect with an implant occluder. Without intervention, her condition will only worsen. The family is directing all its resources toward the child's development, so they are asking for help in purchasing the occluder.

Andriy Vakarenko, born on September 10, 2021, Poltava region. Andriykov is four years old. Last year, the boy was left without his mother, she died of a serious illness. Now his mother's sister, who became their guardian, takes care of him and three other children. During the medical examination, doctors discovered a congenital heart defect – in the boy's atrial membrane defect. To save Andriykov's life, an endovascular operation with the installation of an occluder is necessary. The family has four children, the mother is on maternity leave, and the father is the only breadwinner. The cost of the operation is too much for the family, so the relatives are really asking for help Andriy. The cost of the occluder needed to close the defect is 140,598 hryvnia.
