Help students of the Babanka orphanage

Creating opportunities for vulnerable youth is very important. In practice, orphan graduates do not have the same options in life as others. Starting a new life as a young adult requires many things, including financial resources and the support of your nearest and dearest. But having professional skills is vital for an orphan graduate; it will help land a job and provide for themselves. The Babansk orphanage has a career guidance program that allows its students, children with special educational needs, to acquire the initial professional skills while still studying in the orphanage. Learning entry-level professional skills while at the orphanage will help children with special educational needs pursue further studies after graduating from the orphanage and start their professional life in the future. 

The management of the orphanage helps to prepare its students for their future professional life. They teach students safe working conditions and provide introductory professional education. Hairdressing lessons are part of their career guidance program. Working with children with special educational needs has its challenges. Still, the teachers are doing their best to help their students by teaching them the beauty and hairdressing industry basics. 

Besides theoretical knowledge, learning hairdressing art needs a lot of practice and good-quality tools! At the moment, the school is in dire need of hairdressing tools for the practical lessons! Unfortunately, due to the reduced financing from the government, the school cannot purchase the necessary equipment needed for their hairdressing course. The students are very eager to learn new skills; they are very motivated. They just need hairdressing tools to practice! 

The project is of special importance because the acquired skills will be a ticket to children's lives. It is more difficult for children with special educational needs to find 'their place under the Sun' and become fully-functioning members of society. Learning professional skills for some of these disadvantaged children means the green light they so badly need. In the absence of opportunities in life and without proper financial support from the government, these children are thankful for every opportunity given to them! 

We want to support these children and raise funds to purchase the hairdressing tools they need to study the program. We ask your help to support this project and help the students from the Babansk orphanage build their future by learning hairdressing skills!
