Helping young patients in Kiev and Lviv 💜
Despite the horrors occurring on our Ukrainian soil, life goes on. Children are born, and doctors help those in need around the clock. Unfortunately, the hospitals do not have enough equipment and doctors have to ask for help from charity providers. The project provided help to the prematurely born children department of the National Children's Specialized Hospital "OkhmatDIT" and the department for newborns with prenatal pathology of St. Nicholas Hospital in Lviv. Specifically:
Okhmatdet purchased a modern bilirubinometer, which allows non-invasively, almost around the clock, to monitor the level of malignant bilirubin in a newborn's blood and treat jaundice.
The department for newborns with prenatal pathology of Lviv maternity hospital has purchased and handed over two fetal monitors, which are the best option for cardiotocography in hospital and are indispensable for diagnostics.
