We delivered aid to the maternity center in Donetsk Oblast
Every day, doctors at the perinatal center of the Pokrovsk Clinical Hospital, pregnant women and newborn babies wake up and fall asleep to artillery explosions. This, unfortunately, is their normal life. But their optimism, faith in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and desire to save children do not allow them to stop doing their job.
Thanks to fundraising on the dobro.ua platform, we were able to purchase special positioners, stackers, and ditch covers that ensure
- keeping the kids warm;
- Reduction of psychomotor arousal;
- ensuring physiological (natural) body position;
- Establishment of respiratory, digestive and circulatory functions;
- prevention of mechanical injuries, skull deformities and severe motor disabilities.
And most importantly, positioners and layers allow babies to “feel” their arms and legs. They spend less effort and energy to move, which is so necessary for faster nursing.
