Food assistance for IDPs in Kharkiv region

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and to this day, our organization has been taking care of families who were forced to leave their warm homes and seek a better life, fleeing the war. It is difficult to count the number of requests for assistance in food, hygiene, basic household goods from internally displaced families that we and our partners have managed to close during this time, the figure is about 50 thousand requests across the Kharkiv region.

The war is still on, and we continue to receive requests for help from IDPs in Kharkiv region who are currently evacuating from Kupiansk, Dvorichna and Vovchansk, as well as from Donetsk region residents from Vuhledar, Bakhmut and Soledar who have temporarily settled in Kharkiv.

The most difficult situation is with food, because during the year of war people have been financially exhausted, lost their jobs and livelihoods. We have selected 1500 requests from such families that need a prompt response.  So now we need to raise funds in the amount of UAH 900,000 for 1500 sets of long-term storage food. Each set will consist of several types of cereals, pasta, oil, sugar, tea, stewed meat and fish. The cost of 1 set is UAH 600.  If consumed rationally, these products fully cover the nutritional needs for 4 weeks for 1 person and 2 weeks for a family.
