Fundraising completed! Rehabilitation completed!

On February 20, 2026, Yevhenii Puhachev completed a 30-day course of specialized rehabilitation at the Western Rehabilitation and Sports Center.

During the rehabilitation period, specialists worked on developing and improving his skills in using an active wheelchair, strengthening the muscles of the upper body and core, increasing endurance, and preventing shoulder pain. The goals set for the course were successfully achieved.

According to assessment results across three rehabilitation courses, the WST (Wheelchair Skills Test) form 5.2 score increased from 33 to 86 out of 90 points. At the beginning, Yevhenii was unable to maintain balance on the rear wheels and could not overcome most obstacles. By the time of discharge, he had mastered nearly all skills (with further work ahead on independently going up and down stairs).

Aerobic endurance, measured by the Wingate 30 test on SkiERG, improved from 138 to 188 watts, while maximum power increased from 183 to 253 watts. These are real steps forward — strength that is returning.

This is not the end of the journey. It is its continuation. We believe in Yevhenii’s further recovery, in the power of systematic rehabilitation, and in the people who choose not to look away.
