All of them were born with a genetic disease, cystic fibrosis. This is a rare disease, which is strikes, first and foremost, in the lungs. Abnormal thick mucus blocks the lungs, causing severe infections that provoke obsessive coughing, pneumonia, bronchitis and other complications.

This is a rare disease, which is strikes, first and foremost, in the lungs. Abnormal thick mucus blocks the lungs, causing severe infections that provoke obsessive coughing, pneumonia, bronchitis and other complications.

To fight effectively against cystic fibrosis, children need to perform inhalations, special breathing exercises to deflect and strengthen the muscles of the chest daily. To make it as effective as possible, all patients require individual breathing simulators (Flutter, Treeshold, PEP system) and high-quality nebulizers (dispensers for inhaler medications).

"Sports and gymnastics for our children are vital. Without it, the lungs clog themselves with sputum and children are suffocated. Once we were presented with a Flutter (a special simulator in the form of a tube with a ball inside, in which it is necessary to blow), it became our helper in the fight against the disease. It creates vibration in the lungs, the sputum is separated from bronchial and cough up easily. Every morning, before attending a kindergarten, we work out with it, my son likes it. It's like brushing your teeth," says the mom of the 5-year-old Tymophii.

18-year-old Yana does not have such simulators, but she dreams of them. Unfortunately, she is not able to buy them for a scholarship, and she needs a lot of money for drugs, parents also are not able to buy. "I watched a lot of video exercises, and already have an idea how it works. I really want to try, because every year it's getting harder...", says the girl.
