To take a breath

"Mom, I can’t breathe!" says a scared 7-year old girl. "I keep on thinking about it, feeling like a fish out of water: will I be able to take another breath?" says a young woman. "People don’t even realize how lucky they are when they don’t have to fear not being able to breathe" says a 30-year old man.

These three completely different people are united by one thing – frequent asphyxiation and lack of oxygen. They have irreversible lung problems and the reason is orphan (rare) diagnoses. To relieve their condition and not think about breathing every second, special equipment can help: powerful inhalers.

This project was created to support patients with cystic fibrosis, a rare disease that affects the lungs and heart and causes oxygen deficiency. For patients with cystic fibrosis, only daily inhalations can help maintain lung function for as long as possible. Powerful inhalers save you from suffocation and help your lungs and heart to work stably. Agree, because the fear of suffocation is terrible.

Orphan diseases are mostly hereditary, however, may also be acquired disorders, that occur in less than 1 in 2000 cases. They are chronic illnesses which progress over time, significantly reducing the individual’s life span and quality of living.
