Let's help Vania take the first step on his own

Ivanko was born a healthy child, but two hours after the birth he suffered a cardiac arrest and was brought back from the "other world". After that, he spent two weeks in intensive care under an artificial respiration device and three weeks in the intensive care unit. Ivanko saw his home for the first time when he was a month and a half old. No diagnosis has been made yet, but developmental delays were already noticeable. At 10 months old, Kyiv doctors at the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital stunned his mother with a bunch of words that were incomprehensible at the time, and it was already a diagnosis: Organic damage to the central nervous system, microcephaly, spastic tetraparesis, symptomatic epilepsy, mental and speech delay, partial optic nerve reflex. Since then, the struggle for a full life began.

Mother and son visited rehabilitation centers in Ukraine every 1.5-2 months: Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Truskavets, Kharkiv, and so on. The number of courses they took: massage, physical education, lessons with a speech therapist, swimming pool, acupuncture, hippotherapy, manual therapy, is too many to count. A lot of injections, pills. All this gave good results. At the age of one, doctors said that Vania would be a "lying vegetable", but now they have changed their minds, they have seen a promising child.

At the age of nine, Vania understands spoken language, sits independently for up to two minutes, walks with support, loves to watch cartoons, plays with children – just believe, it's a lot! Now the child really needs to undergo a rehabilitation course to acquire new skills and consolidate the ones he has already acquired. Each treatment is very important for Ivan, and he cannot miss it, as it can get worse. Doctors insist on regular treatment. The parents are asking for help in raising funds for 2 courses of rehabilitation for their son.
