The fundraiser for Yozhef’s rehabilitation has been successfully completed!

The fundraiser for József’s rehabilitation has been successfully completed. All three rehabilitation courses have been fully paid for. The need has been met.

This is an important moment — not just the final point of the fundraiser, but confirmation that the path of recovery is happening systematically and through to the end. Three rehabilitation courses for József mean restoring physical abilities, adapting to his new body, and taking steps toward a full, independent life.

During the rehabilitation period, specialists worked on developing strength, endurance, and active range of motion in the upper limbs, increasing tolerance to physical load, mastering active wheelchair skills, and gaining a deeper understanding of his own condition. The set goals have been achieved.

Here are the results of the assessments and tests from the three rehabilitation courses:

• Active wheelchair skills (WST form 4.2): at the beginning — 46 points; at the end — 61 out of 64 possible.
• Wingate aerobic capacity, 30 seconds on the ski ergometer: at the beginning — 55 WAT; at the end — 223 WAT.
• Maximum power on the ski ergometer: at the beginning — 69 WAT; at the end — 270 WAT.
• Nine‑peg test for the right upper limb: at the beginning — 28.27 seconds; at the end — 20.06 seconds.
• Nine‑peg test for the left upper limb: at the beginning — 29 seconds; at the end — 23.56 seconds.

After completing rehabilitation at the center, the team of specialists recommends that József consult an orthotist‑prosthetist and continue rehabilitation at his place of residence for social and everyday adaptation.
