Help a family from the Kherson region

When Natalia was taken away from the occupied Kherson region, she couldn't walk. An unsuccessful injection ended in developing an infection inside the body; the joint was affected. The woman felt worse and worse, used a walker for a while, and later could not get up. The only thing that the local hospital could offer was to drink painkillers. Neither adequate examinations nor treatment... Natalia had to be saved; her daughter decided to leave. They spent several days with two small children on a difficult way to Kyiv. They arrived in the capital.

When they went to the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, Natalia was severely ill. There was an inflammatory process; the infection destroyed the bone. An operation was urgently performed – the family spent their last savings on it and the social welfare they received. They spent everything they had, but they were happy because the most important thing was to save the life of Natalia.

Natalia has another operation ahead - she needs a new hip joint. In her situation, it is impossible to wait until the state finances it since the time waiting in such a queue is more than a year. She needs surgery much faster: this winter, as soon as the recovery from the first operation and the course of antibiotic treatment are completed, that is, when there is the confidence that there is no more infection in the body.

Natalia is not single – she has two loving daughters and grandchildren. But the war forced them to become "internally displaced persons," people who need help even in everyday life, so they cannot cope on their own with such an expensive purchase as an endoprosthesis.

Please help Natalia get back to a full life. War brings many troubles. But there's something we can fix.
