This is the story of Vladyslav, a cheerful boy from Kherson. His childhood, like his hometown, was changed by war. But even before that, he began to withdraw into his own world due to diagnoses that proved to be a real challenge: atypical autism, hyperactivity, lack of concentration, and underdeveloped speech.
We have already asked you for help, and thanks to your support, Vladyk has completed an important rehabilitation course. Your faith and generosity have yielded amazing results! We want to share our victories, which were only possible thanks to you.
Vladyk has started to speak: after sessions with a speech therapist, he uttered his first words and even two-word sentences. These are not just words – they are a huge step towards communicating with the world. He has become more attentive: thanks to sessions with a special education teacher, Vladyk was able to sit at a table and complete tasks for the first time, which was previously impossible. He is learning to feel the world: sensory integration classes have helped him feel his body, and psychological support helps him establish contact with others.
"Unfortunately, our struggle continues. A recent examination revealed epileptic activity, which requires constant monitoring. And all the achievements that we have worked so hard to achieve may disappear without regular classes", says Kateryna, Vladyk's mother.
Vladyk needs daily work with a speech therapist, defectologist, psychologist, ABA specialist, as well as sensory integration and massage sessions. These sessions are his only chance to learn to express himself, learn to communicate, and ultimately say the most important word for everyone – "mom".
We are once again asking for your help. As a displaced person, Vladyk's mother is raising two children on her own, and the family's financial situation does not allow them to pay for another course of rehabilitation.
Your support is not just money, it is an investment in Vladyk's future. Together we can help Vladyk!
