A person is getting ill, it is hard for the person to breathe. He or she calls an ambulance or gets to the hospital on his/her own – hopes for help. But examinations and tests take time; treatment does not work instantly. But is it possible to imagine that the doctor tells you: "You will breathe tomorrow" or "in a week"?! Even a minute of suffocation seems to be an endless hell. In the entire civilized world, such patients are connected with an additional supply of oxygen and the person receives relief immediately. Many Ukrainian hospitals have a lack of oxygen... We ask you to help to buy an oxygen apparatus for patients of Kryvyi Rih City Hospital.

Today in the pulmonology department of the utility enterprise "Kryvyi Rih City Clinical Hospital No.2" of Kryvyi Rih City Council there are 2 oxygen concentrators for 30 beds. And this is not enough. Patients with a variety of respiratory diseases are hospitalized here. It is difficult for some of them to breathe in the acute period of the disease, but treatment gradually helps and they can breathe on their own again. Others get here with terminal cancer that hasn’t got affected by treatment, pulmonary hypertension, fibrosis, or other diseases that destroy the lungs. Most likely, they will not be able to breathe freely on their own. But not to suffocate - they can. If there are enough oxygen apparatuses for everyone.

The needs are changing, there are days when there are no "heavy" patients at all, and the oxygen apparatuses are "resting". And on the other days there are several serious patients at once, and then try to decide who can be given an opportunity to breathe, and who cannot… We plan to buy another oxygen apparatus with supplies for this hospital, and we ask for your support for it!
