Help Artem overcome the disease

A lot of kids don’t know the scary diagnosis. They run, play, chat, draw... Artem also has to be like that! It just didn’t happen... bad luck... The terrible injustice happened in his life... Artem was not on the 32-and week with no chances to stay healthy. And diagnosis - cerebral palsy was mentioned - the hard challenge for a kid and his parents.

In order to overcome disease, a child has to work very hard. Artem doesn’t have the real careless childhood. Every day for him - is battle with the disease! Eyes surgery, leg surgery, constant treatment, rehabilitation. But without it it is impossible. The not reversible processes can start in joints, muscles. Without regular rehabilitation, the boy can stay with hard disability forever.

Boy suffers from constant pain in legs, has insomnia. Before the events in Eastern Ukraine every two months Artem went for treatment to the hospitals of Donetsk, Novoazovsk, Zaporizhia. When the war came to his native Gorlivka, the family fled and left all their belongings behind. As an IDPs they lived in Sumy region, then in Truskavets now they live in Cherkassy.

At first, they were trying to cope by themselves, but not so long ago the father abandoned the family. Mother was left alone with two kids. The older son has heart issues. Artem went to school last year. He tries to be the same as other kids! But walk and stay he can only with the support. The rehabilitation in December will make the dream of Artem - to work and run together with the classmates - closer!
