Artem is 8 years old, he goes to the 2nd grade of an ordinary school, tries to keep up in all subjects. The boy knows how to walk by the hand, stand near a support, sit independently and, more recently, he learned to eat himself. And this is all overcoming the strong tone in the legs. About such children as Artem, they say as very promising. But it was not always like that. As a result of a medical error, the boy was born at 32 weeks of gestation. During childbirth, he received oxygen starvation of the brain. Closer to a year old, the baby was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, tetraparesis, and motor development retardation. From that moment a difficult life began for Artem and his parents.

Infinite treatment in hospitals, painful procedures, injections, rehabilitation. The results were after each treatment. Fortunately, the child’s intelligence was not affected. The child underwent 2 surgeries (on legs and on the eyes). Artem has achieved a lot and this is a big victory for everyone!

For Artem’s diagnoses constant rehabilitation, daily exercise therapy, massage, and a pool are needed. He grows, with each jump in growth the tonus in muscles increases greatly, muscles do not have time to grow in line with the bones. To alleviate his condition, he needs to train constantly, to strength muscles, go stretching, massages. Mom exercises with him every day, but this is not enough. The help of professionals in rehabilitation centers is needed. The cost of treatment at the centers is very high, and treatment should be regularly. The situation is complicated by the fact that the family is migrants from the city of Horlivka, where the war takes place now. Everything was lost: housing, all things, absolutely everything.

The family started completely from scratch (from renting an apartment to dishes, clothes, etc.). The family barely copes with paying the rent of an apartment, the cost of which is constantly growing. Sometimes they even have not enough money for food, not to mention rehabilitation. And for the fifth year, it is like that! Dad abandoned the family, only grandparents' help. But it is impossible not to treat a promising child. Artem has every chance to live an ordinary life, learn to walk and serve himself.

Earlier, UBB donors have already helped Artem to undergo rehabilitation. In December the boy should have another course of treatment. A family can'tnot cope without the help of good people. Help Artem to overcome the disease!
