Artem was born at the 32nd week of pregnancy, rushing to be born as much as 8 weeks ahead of schedule. As a result of a birth injury, due to oxygen starvation, the baby's brain suffered. And already at the age of one, a diagnosis was established, which means that in fact the child has a disability.

And, although such a message can knock the ground out from under anyone's feet, the mother pulled herself together and decided to fight for the future of her son. From that moment, intensive treatment of the boy began. In addition to medication courses, every 2 months Artem underwent rehabilitation in various clinics in the country. The results were obvious, the child developed, learned new movements, acquired new skills.

But in 2014, due to the war in the Donetsk region, the family was forced to leave their hometown, their housing and receive the status of migrants.

Now Artem, together with his mother and brother, lives in Cherkassy in a rented apartment. It is very difficult for mother to pay for housing, to provide a decent existence for children and to pay for Artem's treatment. She does not have the opportunity to go to work, because a child with a disability needs round-the-clock care.

To date, Artem has learned to walk with support and even takes some independent steps. But spasticity in the legs, increased tone in the limbs, weak back make it impossible to keep balance. Because of the tone, problems appeared in the hip joints, the right leg began to shorten, and this further complicates movement and balance. He needs professional help from a rehabilitation specialist. We are opening a fundraising campaign for Artem's treatment at the rehabilitation center. Without the help of kind people, the boy cannot cope!
