Help Diana to relieve her pain

Anna and Hennadii, who have a three-year-old daughter Diana and come from Vinnitsa region, turn for help. The girl has a rare hereditary disease, called metachromatic leukodystrophy.

"Good afternoon! My name is Anna. My husband and I bring up two children. Diana is the eldest daughter; she is 3 years and 7 months old. Our son's name is Sasha, he is 1 year old. Please, help to ease her pain, caused by an incurable disease! The only hope we have is in the God the Lord."

Diana was born a healthy child. Up to 2 years old she has been growing up and developing. When Diana was about 2 years old the first signs of gait disorder appeared; later on the child stopped walking and crawling herself. Exhausting examinations, endless trips to the capital, regional and district hospitals have begun; finally the girl’s illness was diagnosed as metachromatic leukodystrophy. This is a rare hereditary disease at the genetic level. As the parents were being later told, this kind of disease is incurable.

Since 2019, Diana is a bed patient. She can’t move her arms and legs herself. The problem has become more complicated by the fact that Diana's immobility is accompanied by constant pain and the problem of eating food. Parents have run into this disease face to face. How difficult is it to watch your child’s sufferings, watching how the disease exhausts the little girl every day. However, Diana's parents haven’t lost hearts and began looking for an opportunity to provide a much better quality life for their daughter.

The parents turned to the private clinic – Bersenev Medical Center in Kyiv, where the doctors agreed to help. Diana can undergo a specialized rehabilitation course in order to at least reduce that severe pain all her body feels now and improve the condition of muscles so that she could eat, move her arms and legs herself. The treatment should be started as soon as possible. But the family is running short of money to treat the baby. In order to get the desired result, it is necessary to undertake at least some of such courses of treatment per year.
