Help children with special needs

The project dealing with the disabled children is operating under the direction of charitable foundation "Caritas of Kolomyia-Chernivtsi Eparchy". Because of their illnesses these children feel themselves isolated from life, forgotten, deprived… Unfortunately, it will take much time and effort to correct this unfairness and give them a possibility to have a good future. For this reason the workers of this fund use different methods in their work, but the main and the most favourite one is art-therapy.

Art therapy is the treatment based on engaging children to art. A child learns to communicate with environment and to be like others.

Art therapy is a method , which gives an opportunity for «special children» to express their feelings. The child starts to realize his or her needs and ambitions deeply, concentrate and switch attention in the process of activity. The child can splash out negative emotions and share positive ones with the help of the painting. During such lessons he finds his wholeness, uniqueness and individuality! Art therapy offers the child to express his emotions and feelings with the help of molding, drawing, designing from natural materials.

Unfortunately, disabled children don’t receive appropriate care in our country, that’s why we try to help them using games, as well as art-therapy. We visit children with complex forms of infantile cerebral paralysis, who aren’t able to leave their homes, they don’t study and haven’t got any friends. The very art therapy helps them, fill their lives with different bright colours.

Let’s present children with the rich world of art. They are our future, and it depends on us which future we’ll have. It also depends on all unindifferent people who will be able to bring part of goodness into this deal! Do good and it’ll return to you! We want you to meet our challenge and help the children’s socialization. The funds raised will be used for buying necessary materials for art therapy.
