Help feed the elderly

Every ward of the Ukrainian Charity Alliance is malnourished or even starves at. In most cases, our charity meals are the only place where lonely elderly, anemic and seriously ill people can get nutritious and balanced food. And most commonly, this food is for them the only one good meal of the day…

Different paths brought them to our organization, but all of them are united by one common grief, namely, survival beyond poverty. It is about such level of hardship, when one must decide between spending one’s last money on bread and buying essential medicines. And having paid for utilities, those people have to wait hungry for the next pension. One set of ready meals from our organization is 2-3 meals minimum needed for an adult.

In the framework of the project activities, the team of the Ukrainian Charity Alliance is always looking for new opportunities to respond to the problems of people in need and comprehensive assistance. Thanks to people who care with the help of the funds raised for the project “Food for the Elderly” on the platform dobro.ua in January, we managed to raise full funds, so we can feed twice as many people in need, for which we are incredibly grateful.

Currently, due to the increase of the number of our wards and, consequently, the volume of charity meals cooking, there is an urgent need to purchase additional kitchen appliances, in particular: a refrigerated display case and a freezer, which cost UAH 26,334. We simply have nowhere to store food and ready meals without these “helpers”, because our equipment is already begging for help!

Dear Sirs, support the project “Help feed the elderly”, thanks to which we will be able to purchase the necessary equipment and continue to feed the ones in need.

With this equipment, we will be able to feed even more wards!
