Surgical equipment that will save the lives of Ukrainians
War does not know the difference between a child or an adult, a person with a disability or a young athlete... Every day, doctors are forced to face not just operations, but human lives that are on the verge of death, because every person on the operating table is someone's son whether it is a daughter, an innocent child who was playing on the playground when a rocket arrived, an old grandmother who in the evening gave part of her pension to a charity fund so that her grandchildren would be happy and, most importantly, alive, or a young military man who has not yet turned 20 years old...
Mykolaiv is one of the first points where injured military personnel are hospitalized, and the provision of quality medical care here directly affects the future life of a person. Therefore, medical equipment in the form of an electrosurgical unit is necessary for the Mykolaiv hospital (we do not indicate the full name of the institution for security reasons), which provides operative surgical assistance to the population of the region, as well as to all victims of Russian aggression from the front-line zones, including military personnel.
This equipment is intended for the cutting and coagulation of human soft tissues, which works by using a high current and does not require anesthesia. This is an indispensable tool for use in surgery! Coagulation is an effective and modern method of surgical interventions that avoids large incisions and ensures a quick stop of bleeding and quick recovery of the patient.
The hospital does not have such a device at all, and manipulations are carried out using alternative, outdated methods.
Before the full-scale invasion, the facility saw 15,000 patients each year and performed about 6,000 surgeries. Unfortunately, these figures have not changed for the better, because in the conditions of hostilities, ordinary people are daily injured by shelling and blown up by mines left behind by the Russian army (we cannot specify the exact figures for security reasons). The institution itself was also repeatedly attacked, but despite this, it did not close its doors for a second.
Help provide the institution with such necessary equipment, because it will help doctors save the lives of Ukrainians!
UPD: the name and text of the project have been updated. Old project name: "Help doctors save lives!".
