Help me walk on my own! 3

Dear donators, twelve-year-old Anhelina Baklanova needs your help again. The girl is struggling for her dream to get on her feet. Anhelina is a child with disability, subgroup A, her diagnosis is cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, deformation of both thighs. Anhelina’s family went through many hard and distressful events. They escaped from Donbass, their homeplace, where they had to hide in basements from explosions and shooting attacks. Children will never forget hunger, cold and fear. Now they live at the social center in Odesa. Anhelina’s mother who has visual disability, raises her children alone.

Anhelina is a special child, she can’t walk at all, she moves with the help of a wheelchair all her child life. She is a smiling and kind girl, a creative person, she loves drawing, making beautiful handicrafts and sculpting. However, her cherished dream is to leave the wheelchair and walk like other kids, play with friends, help her mom. She takes maximum efforts for that! Anhelina courageously undergoes any treatment and recovery therapy.

The girl had many hard surgeries on her legs at Sitenko Institute in Kharkiv in February 2021. In May Anhelina started the rehabilitation therapy recommended by doctors. The next rehabilitation course at “Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation clinic” is scheduled for October 2021. The cost of the rehabilitation is 20,490.00 UAH. The family does not have such money, they hardly have money for some food, diapers, medicines and transportation costs. They can’t delay the rehabilitation, since even the slightest delay will make those long hours of surgeries, hard recovery, pain and fear, sleepless nights, all that Anhelina went through, be in vain.
