Help me grow up!

Dear donators! You already know Elina Hordienko, who suffers from achondroplasia, a disease that leads to dwarfism, shortening and curving of arms and legs, violation of body proportions. We collected funds for the first stage of the surgery – lengthening and extension of the tibias on the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace before. On 25.02.2020 the child underwent resection of small tibia bones, fixation of both tibias with position screws and dissection of large tibia bones at the Institute named after Sitenko in Kharkiv.

The first part of the next stage of planned surgical treatment, which is lengthening and extension of arms, was done on the 6th May 2021 thanks to the funds collected for the project. Parents were told that the hospital does not have the necessary consumables, fixators, medicines. All above said will be provided at the expense of parents or charitable assistance. At the second stage, two sets of Ilizarov External Fixators for arms will be required. Their cost makes 150,000 UAH.

But that's not all... Actually Elina has no growth hormone in her body and the child is almost not growing. Now her height is 80 cm at a norm for her age 100-107 cm. Therefore, she is prescribed to continue medication treatment with growth hormone Genotropin, the cost of which is 89,679 UAH per year.

It is simply impossible to collect UAH 239,967 UAH for an ordinary family. Parents are in despair. They ask all caring people to help them. After all, there is hope for a full life for their daughter. Thanks to the treatment it is possible to restore the proportions of the body and increase human growth by 30 cm. The total height after treatment will be 150 cm. It is worth fighting for! Please help little Elina grow up!
