The goal of our project is to provide free mobile ophthalmic care in the frontline areas of Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts for military and civilians. As part of the project, our field team of doctors conducts free examinations, provides medicines, glasses, and referrals for surgery if the patient's eye condition leads to loss of vision without surgery. However, each such mission is quite costly, so we really need your support to continue to make regular visits and save the eyesight of the military and civilians!

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has been heroically resisting Russia's military aggression on a section of 3,200 km, with an active front line with the aggressor of more than 1,200 km.

The cities and towns of the government-controlled territory along the front line are regularly and insidiously shelled by the enemy, suffer from rocket attacks and mines, and are dangerous for the military and civilians in the area. The high intensity of the fighting does not allow the military to leave their positions for long and receive proper and timely medical care. The same reason has led to the fact that local hospitals or medical centers in the frontline areas do not have the necessary number of specialists, equipment, or medicines.

That is why we created the #MOD project to provide such assistance to both military personnel who are unable to leave the place of permanent deployment of their military unit for a long time and receive a qualified examination to detect visual diseases, treat old injuries or fresh injuries sustained during combat missions, or due to concussions and combat stress, and civilians who are unable to leave the frontline area and do not receive timely qualified assistance.

Our Foundation has the appropriate ophthalmic medical expertise, as ophthalmologists, pediatric ophthalmologists, doctors of the highest categories and various specializations, including even chief doctors and medical directors of branches, participate in the project. We have a unique experience, as we have been working with the military since 2014, which makes it possible to obtain the necessary permits for accommodation and accommodation during each field mission. We are also equipped with the necessary modern equipment, the list of which is almost as good as the list of equipment for inpatient ophthalmology offices.

During the project's existence, we have already made 6 visits and thoroughly examined 2255 patients in 18 towns of Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

The only thing we lack to make the missions regular and scale up is sustainable funding, as all the medicines and consumables that allow us to conduct a full eye examination and support patients during their treatment after the examination are quite expensive, so we really need your support to continue to make regular visits and save the eyesight of military and civilians! We are currently preparing for a new mission to the Kharkiv region, and we need help with the purchase of glasses, medicines and supplies, as well as car rental, fuel and driver services.

Thank you in advance for your support!
